I have developed a wonderful ritual, which involves yoga and juicing on weekends. Weekend juicing makes sense for me for a number of reasons… I usually have some spare time, I feel slightly guilty about what I got up to on Friday night, and there is always an abundance of veg in my fridge that needs to be consumed. I’m still a fruit juice in the morning kind of girl (or fruit smoothie) but in the afternoons I want something green. I crave something less sweet, something that’s got kick! This green juice makes the cold winter days a little brighter.
My Favourite Green Juice
1 handful of spinach
½ cucumber
1 apple
1 lemon, skin and rind removed
1 inch piece of ginger
Wash all the ingredients and cut into the appropriate size for your juicer. Juice in whatever order you prefer. I like to do the spinach and lemon first, the ginger somewhere in the middle and the apple last.
